  1. The candidate belonging to general category must have cleared their class 12 board examination or equivalent with a minimum aggregate percentage of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.

  1. The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects in their class 12 board examination.
  2. Applicant whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2001 are eligible to apply for direct admission in VIT Vellore.
  3. Applicant should be a Resident/Non-Resident Indian National/ROI. However, NRI applicants can directly apply under “NRI category” through application form. Similarly for foreign applicants who studied or studying abroad can apply directly through international application form.

  •  On the basis of rank a candidate secures after giving CBT (Computer Based Test) VITEEE 2023, selection is done.

About VITEEE

VITEEE Computer Based Test(CBT) conducted in the month of April and the duration of the entrance examination will be of 2 hours 30minutes. The exam will be conducted as 3 sessions per day.

PART-I Physics, PART-II Chemistry, PART-III Mathematics / Biology, PART-IV English Candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English are eligible for all the B.Tech programmes offered.

Candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English are eligible for B.Tech. Bio-Medical Engineering, B.Tech. Biotechnology and B.Tech. Computer Science and Engg (Spec. In Bioinformatics) programmes only.

The selection of subjects (Physics/Chemistry/ Mathematics or Biology/English) has to be mentioned on the application form itself.

All the questions will mostly be from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus. Each part has 40 questions and English has 5 questions with each question carrying one mark. Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate will have to choose the correct answer and click the same. No negative marks for wrong answers. The Question paper will be in English only and Equating Methodology is used to adjust scores on test forms.

This institution offers around twenty undergraduate, thirty-four postgraduate, four integrated & four research programs in various domains.   English as one of the subjects in the qualifying Examination.

About VITEEE Entrance at VIT Vellore Btech Direct Admission

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in VIT group of Institutions. VITEEE will be conducted between 19 and 30 April 2024 (Tentatively) at designated centres across India and abroad (No.of days will vary for test cities). The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates can appear only once for VITEEE-2024. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions and one mark for the right answer and zero for the wrong answer. Those who score ‘0’ in total will be declared as ‘Not qualified’ and will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process. There will be a total of 125 questions divided into the section Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). The question paper will be in English only. The fee towards application and subsequent counselling is non-refundable. The method of Equi-percentile is adopted for the merit list preparation of VITEEE-Computer Based Examination.

About VITEEE Entrance Exam at VIT Vellore Direct Btech Admission

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in VIT group of Institutions. VITEEE will be conducted between 19 and 30 April 2024 (Tentatively) at designated centres across India and abroad (No.of days will vary for test cities). The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates can appear only once for VITEEE-2024. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions and one mark for the right answer and zero for the wrong answer. Those who score ‘0’ in total will be declared as ‘Not qualified’ and will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process. There will be a total of 125 questions divided into the section Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). The question paper will be in English only. The fee towards application and subsequent counselling is non-refundable. The method of Equi-percentile is adopted for the merit list preparation of VITEEE-Computer Based Examination.

VITEEE Counselling 2024 Process

The counselling procedure for allocating different branches of engineering is based on the All India Rank in VITEEE 2024. Eligible students must register for counselling on the website of VIT. Only the registered aspirants can attend the VITEEE Counselling 2024 round. You have to download your provisional letter for counselling form the official website.

Candidates must follow the below steps to participate in VITEEE Counselling 2024:

Step 1: Registration

  • Candidates have to Register for VITEEE Counselling 2024 and reach on time at your counselling centre.
  • Candidates will be informed through SMS or email about the schedule of VITEEE Counselling 2024.

Step 2: Document Verification

  • Visit the required VITEEE Counselling Centre will all the required documents.
  • Only after the successful verification of documents, you will be considered for further steps.

Step 3: Seat Allotment

  • Slot and day-wise vacant seats will be updated by VIT.
  • Candidates will be allotted seats as per their VITEEE rank, preference of course and college, and number of available seats. Allotment of branch and Campus is final and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
  • The candidate must decide for certain whether he wants to join the program based on the branch allotted to him before paying the fees.

Step 4: Fees Payment

  • After the confirmation of seat from the counselling authority, you have to confirm your seat by paying the course fees.

VITEEE 2024 Counseling fee

  • The candidates who will be called for counselling have to pay an amount of Rs 10,000/- as Counseling fee (non-refundable).
  • The same will be adjusted in the tuition fee when a candidate joins the University.
  • Once the candidate’s seat will be confirmed then they have to submit the Demand Draft for Rs. 50,000/- in favour of VIT University, payable at Vellore.
  • This will include the counselling fee of Rs. 12,000/-.

Age Limit Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2001 are eligible to apply for UG Engineering admission (UGEA) 2023. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.
Qualifying Examination Candidates applying for UG Engineering admission should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2023, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

·         The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi.

·         Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

·         High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

·         General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

·         As per VIT Norms, Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for Undergraduate Engineering programmes. Applicants should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining.

·         They should also provide the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Total (including all subjects) and upload the scanned copy of the mark list and other relevant documents whenever available on the application form.

·         For Indian nationals/ NRI/ PIO card holder, appearance in VITEEE-24 is mandatory to be eligible for B.
