10+2 examination with at least 55% marks in Science streams (45% marks for the reserved category candidates) from a recognised board.
Those who have studied Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics are eligible for all B. Tech courses. If you have studied Physical science along with combination of Physics & Chemistry. In that case you have to provide an approval certificate from school you have attended last.

- Next, eligible candidates must fill the VIT Vellore application form available on the official website.
- Following that, candidates have to appear for the VITEEE conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology.
- Next, candidates are shortlisted based on their VITEEE score.
- Shortlisted candidates must register for and attend VITEEE counselling.
- Candidates are required to fill in their preferences and select VIT Vellore as their first choice.
- Furthermore, candidates are assigned seats based on their rank in the list and the choices they make.
- Candidates must pay the admission fee and have their documents verified in order to be admitted to VIT Vellore.

Scholarships
Scholarships are given to students who excel in sports and games. Financial assistance is also provided to students who wish to do their project work in partner universities and institutions abroad, under the Semester Abroad Programme (SAP). In order to encourage the students to pursue active research, VIT also awards appropriate research associate ships to meritorious and needy students. Although scholarships at VIT Vellore are based on need and means, a majority of scholarship schemes offered at the institute level are mainly merit-based

863 recruiters participated in the placement drive and presented 12,018 job offers to the students. The highest and average package offered during VIT Vellore placements 2022 stood at INR 1.02 crore per annum and INR 8.19 LPA, respectively.
